When Cat the vampire-hating slayer goes after the wrong vampire, she finds herself in the worst possible situation: in love.
This book hit me right in every way. The main character, Cat, is tough and kick-ass but not bitchy (a rare combination.) Because she had a softer side and was far from perfect, she was easy to relate to. The chemistry between her and Bones, her vampire partner, was wonderful. Both their snarky repartee and romantic inclinations were very enjoyable. Also, there was just enough spice in the book to heat things up, but not too much to kill the story.
The plot was fast-paced and twisty, and I read the book in record time. Frost is a terrific writer, and I look forward to reading more books in this series.
